Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 / Standard 8 plus 5 years relevant cleaning experience OR Grade 12 / Standard 10 with 2 years relevant cleaning experience.
• Cleaning experience in a hospital or clinical environment is an added advantage.
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise, inspect and evaluate the work of subordinates.
• Working knowledge of cleaning standards, machines, equipment, Occupational Health and Safety standards and Infection Control processes.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Computer literacy will be an added advantage.

Key Duties

• Supervise the work of subordinates and ensure that high standards of cleaning are attained.
• Assign schedules and duties to cleaning staff daily.
• Train subordinates on cleaning standards and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Monitor daily performances of all cleaning staff.
• Ensure that cleaning schedules and check lists are implemented and cleaners are compliant.
• Ensure that walkabouts and inspections are done daily and submit challenges or incidents reports to the manager.
• Ensure that cleaning products and equipment are used correctly and stored safely.
